Agentic-Ready Commerce

An eCommerce system today has to work on two levels: for human shoppers and for AI agents that browse, compare, and buy on their behalf. We build commerce platforms that work on both — from Shopify setups to fully custom stacks — with the structured data, APIs, and protocol readiness that MCP, ACP, and UCP require. Six implementation paths, depending on where your business is.

Shopify Development

The fastest path to the agentic era. Shopify already exposes MCP endpoints on every store, which means the protocol door is open — but the data behind it usually isn't ready. We build Shopify and Shopify Plus stores with clean catalog structure, proper Schema.org markup, and the checkout, B2B, and ERP customizations that make the store actually usable by AI agents, not just technically reachable. Best fit for brands that want a solid platform without running their own infrastructure.

Headless Ecommerce

When the storefront needs to move faster than Shopify themes allow — or when content, performance, and custom UX become the deciding factors. We decouple frontend from backend using Next.js, Hydrogen, and React on top of Shopify, Shopify Plus, Commercetools, or BigCommerce, with Sanity or Contentful handling content. You get sub-200ms page loads, full control over structured data delivery, and a storefront that can evolve without touching the commerce engine.

Custom Ecommerce

For cases where no off-the-shelf platform fits — regulated industries, unusual B2B models, complex data relationships, or specific compliance needs. We build custom DTC and B2X (hybrid B2B/B2C) platforms on Node.js, Next.js, and Postgres, with Stripe for payments, Segment for data, and integrations tailored to your actual workflows. More work upfront, but no platform ceiling later.

AI-Driven Automations

AI features that live inside your commerce system and actually do work. Shopping assistants for product discovery, recommendation and personalization engines using your first-party data, automated catalog enrichment, B2B procurement agents, visual search, and workflow automation across orders and operations. Built on OpenAI, Google Vertex AI, LangChain, and n8n — integrated into Shopify, headless, or custom stacks rather than bolted on as a separate SaaS layer.

Marketing Automation & Analytics

The systems that turn commerce data into growth. Klaviyo and HubSpot for email, SMS, and lifecycle flows; Segment for clean event data; Google Analytics, Hotjar, and Tableau for measurement. For DACH clients, everything is configured GDPR-first — EU hosting, server-side tagging, consent mode. We also set up GEO and AI citation tracking, so you can see how your store performs in ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Claude alongside classic channels.

Ecommerce Integrations

The work of connecting a commerce system to everything else in the business — ERP, CRM, PIM, payments, fulfillment, and identity. Bidirectional, real-time sync between Shopify or custom platforms and Microsoft Business Central, SAP, Salesforce, or HubSpot, with Stripe and Sendcloud handling transactions and logistics. Clean integrations are also an agentic readiness requirement: AI agents check stock, pricing, and delivery in real time, so the data behind the API has to be accurate. We build this layer to hold under real operational load.

FAQ

Start with the simplest option that fits the business. Shopify works for most brands up to mid-market scale. Headless makes sense when performance, content flexibility, or custom UX become critical — or when you're on Shopify Plus and outgrowing theme constraints. Custom is for regulated industries, complex B2B, or genuinely unique business logic. We start every engagement with a Discovery Phase that maps this explicitly.

It means the store is readable and executable by AI agents — not just by browsers. Concretely: complete Schema.org Product markup, clean product data in the MCP endpoint, structured FAQ and policy content, fast API responses, and verifiable trust signals (reviews, policies, compliance). We assess this across four layers using The B2X Agentic Readiness Framework™: Data, Execution, Performance, Trust.

Often, no. Most agentic readiness gaps are structural — data quality, markup, API hygiene, integration cleanliness — and can be fixed on the existing platform. Replatforming makes sense when the current system actively blocks where you need to go, not by default. We evaluate both paths during Discovery.

Integration is part of the build, not an afterthought. We work regularly with Microsoft Business Central, Salesforce, HubSpot, and SAP — particularly for DACH mid-market where Business Central is common. Bidirectional, real-time sync is the default, so stock, pricing, and order data stay consistent across the commerce platform, ERP, and any AI-agent-facing endpoint.

Yes, by default for DACH clients. EU hosting, server-side analytics, consent mode, and auth infrastructure within EU-resident services. All data flows are reviewed against GDPR Article 44. This also applies to AI automation — models and vector stores are configured for EU residency where client requirements demand it.

ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Claude on the agent side. On the protocol side: MCP (Anthropic), ACP (OpenAI + Stripe), UCP (Google + Shopify), and A2A (Google). MCP is active on every Shopify store; ACP enables transactions initiated from ChatGPT; UCP handles structured merchant data for Google's agentic shopping surface. We configure and test against all four.
