The client approached us with significant performance issues on their website, which featured extensive high-quality video content and complex graphical animations. The website frequently froze on desktop and failed to load on mobile devices. Performance scores in Google Lighthouse were low, with a mobile score around 40 and a desktop score around 80, while the Best Practices score completely failed. Additionally, the client requested several functional improvements to enhance the look and feel and UX.
The first phase of the project involved comprehensive black-box and white-box testing to identify bottlenecks and potential bugs. We found that the website was built on a template that wasn’t optimized for handling heavy media content, lacked pagination, and contained a substantial amount of hidden and unused functionality. To address these issues, we implemented lazy loading pagination, redesigned the layout, and implemented the requested functional updates. We also recommended and executed UI/UX improvements tailored for mobile devices to optimize performance and create a smoother user experience.
The website became significantly faster, with animations functioning seamlessly and predictably across all devices. The mobile version became fully functional, providing a user experience on par with the desktop site. After our changes, all Lighthouse metrics entered the “green zone”, with Performance scores reaching 99 on desktop and 89 on mobile.
Page load speed reduced by over 60%, significantly improving time-to-interaction and bounce rate. The project successfully enhanced the site’s usability, accessibility, and performance — even exceeding client expectations in terms of both visual stability and technical delivery.
