Website and headless CMS for Da Vinci Marble

Da Vinci Marble, a leading supplier of luxury stone and tile products, needed a visually striking, high-performance website to showcase its extensive catalog and provide an exceptional user experience.

The Challenge

Hi-end UX with scalable content management

The client requested a sophisticated, visually appealing design that could handle a high volume of media without compromising the website performance. The primary challenge was achieving a pixel-perfect, custom design across numerous unique page layouts, where every visual detail had to be meticulously preserved. Additionally, the client requested a customer portal for users to save product collections, view design inspirations, and communicate with the company. Management of the extensive catalog demanded a flexible, scalable solution for efficient content organization and updates, aligning with the client’s evolving needs.

Solution

Scalable Jamstack architecture with Strapi & Gatsby

The website was built on Gatsby, a React.js-based open source framework with performance, scalability and security built-in, and deployed to Netlify using JamStack approach. To support the custom, media-heavy design, we applied optimized image handling and implemented lightweight coding practices, ensuring the site remained fast and responsive. After extensive research, we implemented Strapi, an open-source content management system, deployed on cloud servers for scalability and flexibility.
We developed a tailored customer profile system, allowing users to save, organize, and revisit preferred tile and stone selections effortlessly.
